CNA Group wins contracts worth $18m in Vietnam

CNA Group, the enabler of intelligent buildings and facilities, says the group has secured $18 million worth of new contracts in Vietnam all of which are expected to contribute to FY2010 performance.the group’s 51%-owned subsidiary, HTE Vietnam Co. won three more multinational corporation contracts for interior fitouts, signages, landscape works and facility management services in Vietnam.Firstly, Australian bank ANZ has handpicked HTE to replace all its signages in 10 branches and 80 offsite ATM locations country wide as part of the bank’s rebranding exercise in that country.Secondly, Singaporean real-estate company, Mapletree Investments has commissioned HTE to carry out interior fit outs to its administration building in the Mapletree Logistics Park at Vietnam Singapore Industrial Park 2 (VSIP 2) in Ben Cat District, Binh Duong Province. Mapletree has also contracted HTE to provide facility management services to about 165,200 square metres of built up area across the Mapletree Logistic Parks in VSIP 1 and VSIP 2.The third and last contract is from CapitaLand. Under this agreement, HTE will provide landscaping and waterscaping features for CapitaLand’s first Vietnamese residential project, The Vista, a luxury condominium in Ho Chi Minh City.

JLL to manage Philips facilities across APac

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) has been appointed by Philips to manage its 4.3 million sq ft real estate portfolio in Asia Pacific. The appointment, which takes effect from June 2009, is an extension of Jones Lang LaSalle’s current relationship as Transaction Management provider for Philips. As part of the five-year outsourcing contract, Jones Lang LaSalle will manage the facilities in 25 sites across 11 countries. Philips’ outsourcing contract represents the first truly integrated facilities management outsourcing contract in the manufacturing sector. Jones Lang LaSalle was selected after an intensive and competitive selection process over a six months period that included major corporate real estate services firms.Yash Kapila, MD, integrated facilities management, Jones Lang LaSalle Meghraj, stated that this win is important in the context of the company’s India operations. “This is an exciting win, especially coming so close on the heels of our appointment by Nokia to manage its facilities in Asia Pacific. The high demand for professional integrated facilities management services in India is indisputable,” he said. Similar to the early adopters of outsourcing like the financial services, technology and telecommunications industries, the industrial sector’s outsourcing potential is high. JLL Lands Nokia deal

Nokia has appointed Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) to manage its facilities in Asia-Pacific including its 1,440-square-metre corporate office in Bangkok. JLL will manage Nokia's 30 facilities in 11 countries as part of the three-year contract that starts this month. The telecommunications sector was one of outsourcing's early adopters, together with financial services and technology, said Jordi Martin, JLL's managing director for Integrated Facilities Management in Asia-Pacific. JLL says it is the sector's Asia-Pacific market leader, with 110 corporate clients occupying more than 12 million sq m of space across the region.

UGL wins long-term property services contracts

has signed a number Australian property services contracts that it said would generate an anticipated $190 million in revenue. UGL said the contracts included plans to develop 11 new schools for the Victorian government starting January and to open in 2010.The company said it had also won a five-year contract to provide facilities management services to Australia Post's national property portfolio beginning in April 2009. The contract contained two additional one-year options.Additionally, the company flagged a three-year facilities services contract with the Department of Prime Minister & Cabinet in Canberra. The contract also had options for two potential one-year extensions.
