Reuters AIM-listed Mortice acquires Delhi-based facilities management Co 01/07/2009 Mortice Ltd, the AIM listed security and facilities management company, has acquired Delhi-based Rotopower Projects Pvt Ltd for Rs 10 crore. The acquisition of the facilities management firm has been done by its subsidiary Tenon Property Services Pvt Ltd after making adjustment for debts and sufficient working capital.Rotopower, a 12 year old company, employs over 1,600 people and services over 75 clients across 15 states in India. The Economic Times TVS Capital to invest Rs 35 cr in facility management co 01/11/2009 Barely a week after investing Rs 65 crore in well-known book retail chain Landmark, TVS Shriram Growth Fund I has taken a 37% equity stake in Bangalore-based Dusters Hospitality Services with a Rs 25-crore fund infusion — the first tranche from the committed sum of Rs 35 crore. Promoted by Shamsher Puri, Dusters has its footprints across six cities in the south and earned revenues of Rs 70 crore last fiscal. Total Solutions — another hospitality firm run by his brother Jasmer Puri in Mumbai — is set to merge with Dusters. Apart from operational and business development support, the exposure to TVS Capital Funds is meant to propel the "native entity" into one of the top five companies in the highly-fragmented facility management sector. Sodexo Times of India Nayak to be new Sodexo-RKHS entity CEO 01/03/2009 French major Sodexo plans to consolidate its Indian operations by merging Radhakrishna Hospitality Services (RKHS) with its wholly-owned Indian subsidiary dealing in food and FM.RKHS will be merged with Sodexo India. For this, the company plans to set up an integration team, with a steering committee to be headed by Sunil Nayak, current RKHS CEO, and Coleou. Nayak is slated to be the CEO of the new entity, while Raju Shete, promoter of RKHS, will be the non-executive chairman of the combined entity. The combined entity will have a turnover of E115 million in India. The company expects the food and facilities management business to grow at 25% annually.
