BaxterStorey Caterer Search BaxterStorey signs £10m catering and FM contract with Swiss Re 29/01/2010 BaxterStorey has been awarded a contract worth £10m to provide catering and facilities management services at four sites of global reinsurance firm Swiss Re. The five-year deal sees BaxterStorey take over the firm’s London headquarters based at 30 St Mary Axe, better known as the Gherkin, from long-term incumbent Avenance according to industry sources. In addition, BaxterStorey will provide catering and facilities management services to three other Swiss Re sites in the UK. British Petroleum Premises and Facilites Management BP global deal renewed with Bovis Lend Lease 01/04/2009 Lend Lease has today announced a new contract with BP International Ltd to continue its 12 year alliance to provide project management services for the construction and maintenance of BP’s retail network across 10 European countries.Under the five year agreement, Bovis Lend Lease will work on a fee related to turnover under management. ESS FM World ESS secures defence contract renewals 01/07/2009 ESS Support Services Worldwide has retained two of its major contracts in the defence sector, worth £3.7m annually.Carillion has extended the FM company’s deal at RAF Spadeadam for an additional four years. The contract, worth £1.4m across its lifespan, includes the delivery of catering and cleaning services to around 250 military personnel at the Cumbrian base. ESS has been working at RAF Spadeadam for over five years. ESS has also earned an extension with Arborfield, the site which houses the Army’s School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. It has been already been working at Arborfield for 10 years and will now continue for at least another two. Services under contract include catering, cleaning, refuse disposal, hazardous waste disposal, road sweeping, tailoring, shoe repair, laundry and window cleaning. JCI Easy Bourse Swisscom Outsources Facility Management To Johnson Controls 01/03/2009 Swisscom AG (SCMN.VX) said Thursday it will outsource facility management to Johnson Controls as of April 1, as this is not a core business of Swisscom. Around 270 Swisscom employees will move to Johnson Controls during the process. Jürg Rötheli, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Swisscom Immobilien AG: "We are achieving three objectives with this outsourcing project: Our costs will fall significantly in facility management. Operational reliability and continuity of service - especially in the our data-centers and commercial buildings - will be maintained, and outsourcing will offer good prospects for the future to our employees from facility management." Around 270 employees of Swisscom Immobilien AG who are responsible for building management will be transferred to Johnson Controls. About 90 employees will remain with Swisscom. SMI i-FM net SMI lands 9 country Henkel deal 01/08/2009 Service Management International has won a contract to provide bundled facilities services to manufacturing group Henkel across its European portfolio.SMI was appointed by Henkel's adviser, Jones Lang LaSalle, on the nine-country deal which includes 16 sites. The service scope includes cleaning, pest control, landscaping, mailroom, catering, security and reception.Another recent win saw JLL award a contract extension to SMI covering engineering services in Denmark for Sun Microsystems. SMI already provides bundled services for Sun in 23 EMEA countries via JLL. It had previously won engineering services deals in Germany and South Africa for the IT group.

VINCI Construction UK Limited Reuters France's Vinci wins $114 mln in German contracts 01/04/2009 Vinci (SGEF.PA) has won two deals worth a total of 86 million euros ($113.6 million) in Germany, the world's largest public works and transport concessions group said on Wednesday. One unit, SKE Technischer Service GmbH, has signed a deal with the U.S. government to maintain 54 schools in Germany and Belgium over five years, Vinci said in a statement.
