Confectionery giant Cadbury is looking to a newly appointed global FM partner to help it boost performance against the backdrop of a weakening economy. In its latest trading statement, issued this week, Cadbury says that it has reached agreement with the partner to progressively provide facilities management and related services. The deal, it adds, is likely to result in the transfer of 'a significant number' of existing roles and third party contracts over the coming years.Cadbury declined to reveal the name of its new provider but it is believed to be Johnson Controls.
CBRE, which already handles FM at multiple sites for the technology giant, has been named preferred provider of project management services globally.Under a multi-year agreement, CBRE will manage global coordination and delivery of all projects – which could range from fit-out of small field offices, through large-scale campus development, to complex data centre construction.
